2008 Hyundai Entourage Review
The 2008 Hyundai Entourage really displays Hyundai’s efforts to focus on safety this year. The GLS trim minivan’s safe features, along with its intelligently designed exterior, net it the highest crash test ratings in its class. Standard with the 2008 Entourage are seat-mounted side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags and of course the frontal airbags. That’s right; all of the possible seven occupants in this minivan stay protected with some airbag protection. The three-point seat belts and adjustable head restraints further contribute to the exceptional safety ratings.
The interior isn’t only safe, but also versatile and comforting. The second and third row seats fold into the floor to give a hefty amount of cargo space—great if you’re travel heavy! The entire cabin remains comfortable with climate control, so no cries of “it’s too hot!” will plague you on those long rides. The DVD entertainment system comes with an 8 in. display screen, so the backseat passengers will not only be comfortable, but they’ll be kept entertained. Other fancy interior features include six speakers, heated seats, cruise control and much more! This fancy interior keeps the harshest critic speechless.
This 2008 minivan has a 3.8-liter V6 engine, which is powerful for this class. The 250-hp it produces maintains control with an impressive 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and an auto-manual feature, which utilizes the Shiftronic system. All of this also gives an estimated 23 mpg highway, which is rather impressive for the minivan class. In addition, standard on the Entourage is the 4-wheel disk brakes with an Anti-lock braking system, brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution.
