2008 Hyundai Sonata Review
Having just sold their one-millionth model, Hyundai is proud to hold the Sonata mid-size sedan in their line-up of quality vehicles. The 2008 Sonata offers two engines for any of its trim levels; no longer do you have to go up the next level to get a more powerful engine. The two available engines include the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, and the new 3.3-liter V6 engine; both choices are netted Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle ratings. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual and there is an optional four-seed Shiftronic automatic transmission with a manual-shift provision. Drivers who opt for the V6 engine are given a five-speed Shiftronic automatic transmission; this combination can accelerate the Sonata from zero to 62 mph in 7.7 seconds.
The interior cabin is as well equipped as the machinery under the hood. The five-person occupancy can be used to actually seat five, or the 60/40-split folding rear seat can fold down to enhance the already spacious 16.3 cubic feet of cargo volume. The HomeLink ® integrated transceiver can operate the garage doors, house lights, security systems and more directly from inside the review mirror. Other features allocated for your use include cruise control, power windows, air conditioning and much more. The Limited model includes top-of-the-line features such as heated seats, automatic climate control and an electrochromatic auto-dimming mirror.
The improved exterior details of the 2008 Sonata are complemented with extensive safety features, in terms of vehicle wellbeing. There are six standard airbags and they include frontal airbags, side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags. An Anti-lock Braking System is included, as well as Front active head restraints, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, child-friendly LATCH system and more!
