2008 Hyundai Tiburon Review

For drivers looking to experience something exciting, sporty and bold, Hyundai presents the Tiburon compact 2-door coupe. The sporty model finds a way to deliver a stylish design with a high level of performance and safety.

Despite being a two-door, the inside cabin can seat up to four occupants. The 50/50-split rear seat can fold down and provide further cargo space to the trunk of the sizable coupe. Other features include keyless entry, stereo audio system, power features, cruise control and more. Higher trim levels receive automatic temperature control with smog-sensing auto recirculation. The option for full leather seating is offered, and is combined with the metal-styled trims lining the interior; the car has a real look of class and sophistication. The confines of this vessel are kept safe as well with a frontal airbag system with an Occupant Classification System and seat-mounted side-impact airbags. These are complimented by safety body-styling features such as an energy-absorbing steering column, bodyside reinforcements and four-wheel-disc antilock brakes. The higher trim level also receives an Electronic Stability Control system.

All of these features need to be propelled by something, and the 2008 Tiburon definitely has the power installed to do that. The 2.7-liter V6 engine can generate 172 horsepower and it is teamed with a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The higher-level SE models can opt for the six-speed manual transmission. The GS model offers a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is teamed with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission.

The Tiburon uses all of this and gets great handling, lively acceleration and a quiet ride. Not only will you be driving with ease, but also there is enough room in this compact eye candy to fit everyone inside. The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon is the best of most worlds!

  1. I just bought one of these and with 1100 miles on it the transmission went out and they put a remanufactured transmission in a brand new car. I cant believe a company is so cheap as to try to do something like that. brand new car with a rebuilt transmission on it and i havent made the first payment yet. I wouldnt suggest buying one of these to anyone if this is the way they do things.

  2. Best looking car for the dollar by far. Intense sheet metal work, and great styling.
