2008 Hyundai Veracruz Review

The Veracruz crossover SUV gets its name from the state in Mexico and follows Hyundai’s Western inspired naming scheme. The larger 2008 model is likely to impress. This year the Veracruz offers advanced safety features, more comfort, more power and the reliability Hyundai fans come to expect in their vehicles.

The three rows of the 2008 interior seat a maximum of seven occupants, all of which are kept wholly fulfilled with an array of inner features. The expansive instrumental panel, dashboard controls and cup holders are extenuated with a bold blue backlighting scheme. The upper trim levels are treated to a Rear Seat Entertainment system, complete with an 8” LCD screen and DVD player that sits on the roof for long trip diversion. This is complemented with an impressive Infinity® Logic7 surround sound system for maximum audio bliss. Other features include a navigation system that is paired with intense 605-watt surround-sound stereo, rain-sensing wipers, keyless startup, dual-zone automatic climate control and more!

The design of the Veracruz includes an energy-absorbing steering column and front and rear crumple zones for the utmost defense. Further protection comes from an advanced frontal airbag system is a standard safety and is teamed with seat-mounted side-impact airbags and side-curtain, roof-mounted airbags. All of this is powered by the 3.8-liter V6 engine and works with a six-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available, and only improves upon the impressive ride the 2008 Veracruz provides.
