Hyundai ix35 and ix-Metro Caught Naked in Frankfurt

Hyundai PR must be slipping, that or it’s a fantastic move! The Hyundai ix35 concept was caught sans-cover in Frankfurt, along with new ix-Metro drawings leaked to the web. Let’s start with the ix35 – on its way to 2009′s Frankfurt Motor Show, World Car Fans and S.B. Medien (who has copyright on these photos) snagged a glimpse of the 2010 – 2011 Hyundai ix35 / Tucson SUV. Looks like there’s a new grill, new headlights, new fog lights, and lower to the ground appearance. The back-end is rounder, has a spoiler, steeper angled glass, new rear lighting that spreads from the side paneling to the hatch.

Next we have the ix-Metro and i10 concepts – the first city cars available from Hyundai. Smaller then the Accent, the ix-series in general is the way Hyundai will bring small, economy class commuting to their world. ix-Metro features a Hybrid Electric Drive, also known as a HED. Its turbocharged petrol engine displaces 1.0-liter, it is run by a 6-speed dual clutch transmission and returns C02 emissions of 80g/km.

Next-Gen Hyundai Genesis Already Spied?

Has the Next-Gen Hyundai Genesis already been spied? It looks like some test cars from Hyundai, complete with MI license plates (even though these shots were taken in a waterless wasteland) were caught in both a coupe and 4-door sedan variants. World Car Fan’s spy photographers caught the ‘facelifted’ 2011 – 2012 Genesis undergoing testing in the Mojave desert.

It’s already apparent that Hyundai wants to bring a little Equus flagship styling into every car launching within the next few years. An upgraded bumper and fog light set-up are in line with the European styling, while the rear end contains an entirely new LED design taillight, integrated exhaust, and rear bumper.

We hope WCF is right with their guess: “Engine options will likely carry over, meaning we can expect a 290 hp 3.8-liter V6 and a 368 hp 4.6-liter V8. Eventually the Genesis may be offered with a new 5.0-liter V8 with over 400 hp, but nothing is official as of yet.”

2010 Hyundai Accent Face Lift Spied

Hyundai revealed their new Verna model over in Kim Jong Il country, Korea – and many are speculating this will be the 2010 Hyundai Accent face lift once the vehicle comes stateside.

She certainly seems to like the idea.

Why do people think this will be the next Accent front end? Because the Verna is a base for the Accent globally. This supposed new Accent grill is a lot beefier then previous model, with curved headlights and a fat Hyundai smirk. Internally, a new USB and Auxiliary inputs for music, standard PowerBass subwoofer, Bluetooth and new blue instrumentation lighting will add to your driving experience.

Currently, the Accent Base ranges from $11,200 – $14K so expect something similar to those figures once the new Accent drops in North American somewhere during 2010. We personally can’t wait to see them in the lots of Hertz & Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
